Record Store Day 2018 will take place on the 21st April 2018 and Nightfly Records are taking part.
Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 200 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities host artist performances and events to mark the occasion. Thousands more shops celebrate the day around the globe in what’s become one of the biggest annual events on the music calendar.
We have ordered over 200 of the special vinyl releases available (more than double what we had last year) The vinyl releases are limited and distributed around the 200 independent shops taking part in Record Store Day throughout the UK. We will only be receiving between one and five copies of each release and won't know what we will be allocated until the week of the 16th April when we will list what we have received on our website www.nightflyrecords.com and via our Facebook page.
Please note that we cannot take deposits or any pre-orders for the Record Store Day releases, they are sold on a first come first served basis. If there is a particular release you are after our advice is to arrive at the shop as early as possible to avoid disappointment. We will open the shop at 9.00am and only allow customers to purchase one copy of each release.
We have DJ's playing in the shop all day and are very excited to have the legendary DJ Justin Robertson (Deadstock 33s) coming to close the day out by playing a two hour set around 5.00pm. It will be a party atmosphere to celebrate music and vinyl.
We look forward to welcoming you to Nightfly Records on Saturday 21st April 2018.
